A mediados de noviembre se conoció que 2 manga de Ghost in the Shell estaban en proceso. Esta semana se ha publicado la primera imagen de uno de ellos. Ghost in the Shell – Stand Alone Complex (Kôkaku Kidôtai) empezará a serializarse en la Young Magazine de Kodansha el próximo 14 de diciembre. Este manga estará a cargo de Yu Kinutani, artista de Steamboy y creador de los manga Amon y Shion, con supervisión de Masamune Shirow y Production I.G.
El otro manga, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Tachikoma no Hibi, iniciará su publicación en la misma revista el 9 de diciembre.
